Rastergraf's SirenaPMC fulfills high performance requirements for graphics and video acquisition common to embedded computing processing environments, including Solaris, Linux, Windows, and leading real-time operating systems including VxWorks and LynxOS.

Using a 128-bit Borealis graphics accelerator, the SirenaPMC supports 2D, 3D, OpenGL, and DirectX compatible displays.  Monitor support includes non-interlaced analog VGA and Sync On Green (SOG) plus optional digital DVI with screen resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 (VGA) or 1600 x 1200 (DVI) with up to 16.7 million colors (24 bpp). A quad-image BIOS enables the ArgusPMC to operate in virtually any x86 or SPARC system using VGA, RGB+Sync-On-Green, or DVI displays.

Other features a Conexant Fusion 878A video digitizer, a Philips ISP1561 USB 2.0 host controller, and a Micronas UAC3556B Audio Stereo I/O CODEC. The UAC3555B supports mono microphone or stereo line-in and stereo line-out, 5-band equalizer, volume, balance, and tone controls.

A unique asynchronous PCI bridge design supports all PMC interfaces from 32-bit, 33 MHz PCI to 64-bit, 133 MHz PCI-X. The local bus runs at 32-bit, 66 MHz if the Borealis alone is installed and at 32-bit, 33 MHz when the USB and/or Bt878A are installed (because they are 33 MHz devices).

A variety of front panel configurations are possible, including VGA+2USB and DVI-I+Stereo+USB. Video-In is accessed using a breakout cable that uses spare pins on the DVI connector.

The SirenaPMC is laid out in a Conduction Cooled PMC (CCPMC) compatible format and can provide all I/O to the PMC Pn4. Note: due to component placement, the SirenaPMC is not compatible with boards that require the CCPMC Secondary Thermal Interface rails.
