GarnetPMC is an entry-level ruggedized, conduction
cooled display controller and video capture PMC (PCI Mezzanine
Card). All I/O is via the Pn4 rear panel connector. For ruggedization
specifications and options, please refer to the See
Ruggedization Level Chart.
For
a comparable commercial grade solution with both front and
real panel I/O, please see the
TopazPMC.
Garnet/PMC
features a Silicon Motion SM731 System On a Chip (SOC) graphics
accelerator with 16 Mbytes of on-chip SDRAM. This 128-bit
2D/3D graphics engine supports compatible displays at up to
1600 x 1200 x 24 bpp (16.7 million colors).
The
card also features the Conexant Bt835 NTSC/PAL/S-Video and
Analog Devices AD9882 High Speed RGB/DVI digitizers. A loopback
can connect Video Output to Input for self-testing.
There
are a considerable number of choices of inputs and outputs
which are configured at time of order: Outputs include DVI,
dual LVDS, NTSC/PAL Composite and S-Video, single channel
STANAG 3350 A-C, and/or Primary and
Secondary analog RGB outputs (with optional Sync-On-Green
or Composite Sync). Inputs include DVI, NTSC/PAL Composite
and S-Video, high speed (1280 x 1024) RGB input with optional
Sync-on-Green, STANAG 3350 A-C, and NTSC/PAL S-Video and Composite Video. Not
all combinations are available at the same: See the GarnetPMC
datasheet for details.
This
PMC card is designed for use under
VxWorks
(using Wind Rivers
WindML
or Rastergrafs SDL) and
Linux (using
SDL
or XFree86) operating environments.
It also supports DirectX and OpenGL environments running
Windows.
